Sluice Gate

The primary purpose of a sluice gate is to control or impede the flow of a liquid. It plays a crucial role in regulating water movement, particularly in flood control, water level maintenance, and various industrial processes aimed at optimizing efficiency by managing liquid flow and levels.

A sluice gate permits the passage of water or liquid beneath it and consists of three key components: a movable sluice gate, a fixed guide-frame embedded in concrete to provide support, and a drive mechanism. Additionally, in certain scenarios, the sluice gate functions as a weir when lowered, allowing water to spill over its top.
